1. “Ceramic Painting” (and Mosaics for the Home Schools)

Choose the items and we will show the kids some painting techniques, and explain the glazing/firing process.

Cost: There is no fee--it’s just the price of pieces. 15% discount for 10 or more! Reservations are recommended for 6 or more.

2. “Play with Clay:”

Create your own coil pot for pencils or your toothbrush! Have fun and learn about clay, how the firing process works, decorating and painting techniques!

Cost: only $19.00* per kid plus a $25 program fee (non-refundable) which includes the two sessions as listed below and a CeramiCafe Certificate of Completion for each child.

Each session is one hour long. Monday thru Friday only.

First Clay Session

Kids will learn to use slip & score method to add coils to create a coil pot. Then decorate pot by carving patterns and/or using stamps!

Second Clay Session (Two weeks later)

--Learn painting techniques and paint previously made coil pot.

--Learn about the entire firing process:

a. glazing of the painted pieces-see how we “dip.”
b. learn how we use posts, shelves and stilts in the loading process.
c. see inside the kiln-loaded or empty.
