Fund-raisers...
SEE PHOTOS BELOW FOR IDEAS
Local schools have raised over $200,000 at CeramiCafe!
Host a fund-raiser for your school, church, synagogue or other non-profit organization together with CeramiCafe Art Lounge! It's a fun and creative way to raise money, beautify grounds (walls, planters, benches etc,) and create a sense of teamwork and togetherness in doing so.
Some of the non-profits who have had great success with us are: The Gaslamp Quarter's "Urban Art Trail" Mural Project, Del Mar's Power House Park all murals, Dingman Elementary wall mural, Marshall Middle School wall mural, Solana Vista tile project, Harborside School tile project, Fuerte High School annual tile project, Vista Grande, Phoebe Hearst Elementary, The Girl Scouts/Friends of People project (installed wall tile mural in a school in Nigeria, Africa!) St. Columba School mosaic auction, Del Mar Schools Education Foundation Annual Art Auction, Del Mar Hills Academy Annual Art Auction, La Mesa Park's Project and Junior Seau park bench tile project, and many more local schools in the San Diego area. Over $200,000 has been raised for these schools since 1996 with our fundraisers.
How it Works:
- Tile Fundraiser. Beautify a wall, courtyard, park benches, tables, tree planters, library, etc….with tiles you purchase from CeramiCafe ($5, $10 or $15ea. for 4”, 6” or 8” tiles. Receive 20% off every 50 purchased.) Then sell them to the families at a set price (we’ve seen $20-$300ea.!) The group can come to our studio(s) to paint them, or we can pack the tiles and paint to complete at your site-it’s easy! We will fire them and have them ready to be picked up and installed wherever you like. CeramiCafe does not do the installing-but you can call a local hardware company for references.
- Auction. Choose the item(s) from our studio. Some examples are: a popcorn bowl, giant flower pot, cookie jar, large mosaic mirror, serving tray, tea set...etc. Either have the kids paint designs, do handprints, poems etc. onto the items, OR! ask your art teacher to direct a class and do a set of “Picasso Portrait Plates!” or “Monet” ice cream bowls…the ideas are endless! Then AUCTION them off at the next event for LOTS of $$$...We just heard that a tea set of ours, painted by a local artist auctioned for $2400! Wow!
